I've restarted it and cleaned the disc despite it being brand new

take it you mean the disc is brand new and therefore not scratched??

if so and it can read other discs then this one is corrupt and you should take the game back with that pic and get them to exchange it.

 

Andy, try another disc, if you get the same problem it's the XBOX at fault if not it's the disc.

If your Xbox 360 console can't play multiple game discs, try clearing your system cache. Here's how:

2. Select Memory.
3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
