Decided to try my luck at the wrapping game so here are a few snaps of my 350Z I am currently practicing on. Decided to go for a carbon finish using the 3M Di Noc carbon vinyl. The more panels I do the more confident and better I am getting, so much so I can spot ways to do the earlier panels better!! Once its complete i'll go back and redo!
Some pics of progress.....

Hopefully doing the bumpers this weekend!

I think the average car would cost around Ł1800 to wrap in carbon all in, Ł2500 does sound a bit steep but fair play to him for getting the job!! Seen people charge as little as Ł1300 for a carbon wrap.

I did like it with just the roof and bonnet but decided to do the whole lot to get some practice in doing wraps. Will be doing my Beetle next as well!!
t3 Dan - yes its Di Noc - Its on offer at w smiths for Ł30 +vat and delivery per metre at the moment
mrcapriscort - yes mate just clean it as normal, actually easier to do!!
retro / doctor stavros / retro al - i went for the 3M Matt carbon as it seems to get the best reviews for ease of use etc and as i'm new to the game i thought easiest is best.
imnoteasy - I would charge about that for mates cars as I need the practice before charging full price. I'm a City boy and the signwriting is purely my beer money so dont need to earn a living out of it really.
Few more pics from the weekend..... Nearly done now except for the front bumper. Will be redoing the rear bumper as i fooked it up! Couldnt seem to get the vinyl to shrink into the numberplate recess, any ideas imnoteasy?!! Once this is done i'll be lowering her and getting 30mm spacers for the rear and 20 for the front, then perhaps tint the rear window/s.

Hi Dave, didnt get a text but seen it in paypal cheers! Will get it posted this week. No probs on gloss black roof, can you get me the measurements please
Cheers

Nicely done but I think it looks awful, not as a result of your work quality, I just think a car covered in fake carbon looks tacky fullstop.
And I cant imagine anyone being thick enough to actually think it was real

lol, interesting to get opinions from both sides, i dont think the pics do it full justice and admittedly i'm not totally in love with it yet but it is growing on me. Funnily enough I had 2 cars stop yesterday and ask me is that real carbon!
I think once i've lowered it and fitted 30mm spacers it should be better. Worst case if it isnt i'll just take it all off!

Finished the front now, just got mirror to do! As above i'm still not 100% set on it. Will get the 30mm spacers on and lowering kit and see how it looks. If its still no different off it comes and will perhaps have a go at a full colour change, perhaps white / black or orange / black!
