Default how to get the best from a mk2 mondeo

hi guys, not been on the forums for a while but im going to be taking hold of a 98 1.8 mondeo, it does have 160k miles on the clock and a few things need fixing like the front bumper and passenger side wind has a small dent, i was just wondering what i could do to get this car looking better than just bog standard, ie. interior bits, body and engine, budget isnt problem as things will be done over time as and when the cash flow is going good

any ideas or info would be great as im new to this mondeo lark

st24 kit,
seat leon front splitter
st170 alloys
st170 brakes
st200 half leather interior, or ghia full leather
exhaust
induction kit

just a few ideas for you to ponder over (thats how id do one) and the spec is quite common on a mondeo, so parts are easy to get

right i got the car yesterday and even though it flew down the A14 very well, nice and smooth there is a few problems with this car, its a 1.8 zetec (RKB engine??) and it idles badly around town and sometimes stalls at the lights, now i knew it had problems and that was reflected in the price and thats why i am here for your guidence and info, also i have a feeling the clutch is a bit off as that feels very rough when starting to move from a standstill, apart from that and the load of surface rust it has there also seems to be a bit of knocking from the back passenger side too, any one have any ideas as to what this could be lol

knock rear subframe bushes
idle will be idle speed control valve
clutch is twat of a job requiring front subframe to be dropped on the passenger side and loosened on drivers side, be sure to mark the position of the subframe as if they are not refitted correctly it will crab all over the road i use spray paint where the subframe meets the floor
surface rust well it is a ford so to be expected lol!

your mechanic mate should not have any problem with the bushes but get him to check first and make sure it is them
the idle valve should be bolted to the drivers side of the manifild if my memory serves me it is a clinder about 3 inches long usually with a ford sticker on it, they can sometimes be freed off with brake cleaner and wd40
