Default Advice please

hi guys, how are you doing?

just need some advice, please don't get the hump if these question have been asked before. I wanna put a cosworth engine into a mk2 escort and wanted to know what sort modification i need to do to the shell to get the engine to fit? I'm also looking to put some monte carlo arches on it and would like to know what size axle, wheels and tyres i could accommodate within the arches.

Thanks for any of your help with this matter

levi

Hi,

Best thing to do might be find (on here) a mk2 cossie project and have a good read. Obviously there are substantial fabrication modification to take the larger engine and box, extra torque, different mounts etc etc.. worrying about wheels might be getting a little ahead of yourself, though i expect you'd get 7 or even 8 by 15's without going low profile, but i'm sure someone with much experience will clear that up. Remember anything is possible, my aviator is a pic of my uno turbo (sorry not Ford!) with 8x15's with no offset..

Tom

You need a RS2000 sump, not sure about the rest maybe ask scrote, aka "the original", as he has a MK2 rs2000 on cossie power.
