Default In car digital radio

Hello, am fed up with shite signal in the mk1, especially in MW, when driving you can literally only hear crackling!!
Anyway, can you get headunits that play digital radio in the car or are these the best option??

Cheers

Hi I got myself one of the Pure units for the same reason, the downside lots of wires, the plus side very clear radio , I'm only aware of one headunit that has DAB I sure its JVC.

Worth checking the Pure web site for more info the unit does have an aerial which goes on the screen then you tune via FM on the head unit works well.

Hi Mate, Check out the Blaupaunkt site, they do DAB radios and had one in my cupra, it has a small internal window mounted aerial and was magic, pick up loads of stations and could change colour. looked a bit basic but was spot on.

Bit like that one but mine was the Woodstock and was only around Ł250

Cheers

Rich, i was thinking about doing that, but if i need a new radio anyway surely be better off getting one with DAB already installed???

Oibren, cheers mate, i see some blaunkput ones, quite expensive compared to the JVC ones tho!! Having a internal window mounted aerial spunds like the best way, can go sticking stuff all over me fresh paint lol

xr2 turbo - you got a link to them aerial boosters?? I had a look on ebay but the aerial boosters i found were cheap but seemed to be for a tv etc!!

Ive heard the window aerials can be a bit shit, but i really dont wanna go putting aerials on the car Am i right in saying the reception is still effected by buildings and hills etc??
