my mate bought a new phone, is a nokia of some sorts, real clever posh expensive thing, we was messing bout on line nd decided to see how much mazuma and the other mobile place would give us we have seen on tele.
we said the phone was brand new, which it was at the time ( only released that month)
still boxed etc...
the most we was offered........
25 quid.... for a phone worth 300..... hmmm,
i would suggest going into a phone shop and haggling
Carphone Warehouse offered and gave me 160 for my N97 which was trashed.
Benni.
How did you find out they bought phones? ive never seen any signs saying they will buy phones, although the N97 is not THAT old really, maybe its just newer phones they buy

Well I wanted an I-phone and I was in there on my phone and when I said 'I'm too tight to pay the deposit' he said 'Why not use that phone?' I thought they wouldn't want it, as it was completelty trashed. The lock/unlock button wasn't there anymore and the screen didn't sit flat as the plastic was bent. However, he took it away and scanned it and then offered me 160.
At first he said he had to give me a gift card, which didn't bother me as I used it for a deposit. But, then he put the couple of pound change on my card, so they can do it that way.

Ahhh i dout very much they would just buy a phone for cash though, they just wanted your custom on the iphone i expect.
I could always ask as i live near a carphone warehouse.
If you have ever actually done it before, then you will know that even before you send the phone, they ask you for the phone's IMEI number, so they can check the stolen phone database to make sure it isn't stolen
