as title, before you jump down my throat im not saying everyone that drives a bimmer or an audi is a cock, but they just are i can give 2 examples in the space of an days driving to give supportive evidence. im on L plates as I haven’t passed my test yet and I was driving 60 miles with my dad to pick up a chair he had bought, the first example is and Audi rs4 driver, I was on a back road I know VERY well and was nipping along nicely 50/60ish and this clown in an rs4 comes up behind me like 2ft away and wouldn’t back off staying on my back for 2/3 miles staying hard pressed to me, the second example is just before st Andrews on a twisty b road in the rain at about 10 pm there was a bimmer driver came out of nowhere and was on my tail much the same as the Audi, I was doing about 40 as the roads were twisty and wet and I didn’t know them, but his driver on the next but of straight road floors it to pass me even when there’s a car clearly coming the other way lights on and everything, this straight bit of road was only about 60m long or so and this bimmer driver pulled out and was halfway along side me going for a head on collision so I braked as hard as a dared to let him in front of me and he was no joke about a foot away from a head on collision with the car coming the other way and would have probably been if I hadn’t braked to let him in, so I rest my case.

HA have to agree always happens to me mostly A4 drivers withsunglasses on(come on i live in ireland its never sunny) i usually just wait till they go to overtake and just floor it there never to impressed to be pissed on by a lowly ford focus or worse still a 30 year old capri

Brakes
Mirrors
Sticking to prescribred speed limits

Two tactics i usually use when i have a tailgater are:

1) Slam brakes on a couple of times to shit them up.
2) Slow right down to about 20mph in places where you know that they can't overtake you, this really pisses them off and slows their journey time down even more than if they had just been a little bit patient.

When these drivers order their new cars on the options list that they can select from it states brain for driver or indicators, on BMWs, Mercs and some Audis you can very rarely select both the brain and the indicators.

I drive a BMW and use the indicators. I also give space to learners too as I was one once. The actual car is irrelevant, it is the penis brow driving it that makes it a weapon of death. People who sit right up your arse are clearly crap drivers as they are unable to see the road ahead to carry out a safe overtake. I think that Hyundai drivers are the new BMW drivers as they don't use indicators and do 40 mph everywhere regardless. As for accelerating whilst they are alongside; if you can willingly go faster then do so, if not let the danger overtake you and laugh at their wreckage further down the road.

I am the first to admit, i drive like a c**t at times but its something my dad said to me and whenever this sorta thing happens to me i usually get pissed with the muppet on my arse but i think about that statement, usually calms me down and i let them past........after that their gone, usually they only get to go in front of me, therefore they get to see me in their mirror....now thats obviously got to be a good thing eh!
