im stripping out my current project a mk4 cabby, took the carpet up, the rear soundproofing is fucked but the front is fine can you still get it or what do people suggest to replace it with? many thanx mark.

 

Carpet underlay works really well iv'e found.

 

go to a biggish motorfactors / paint shop (one that sells car paints etc) just go ask them for deadmat.... it costs about £20+ vat for a box of 10 sheets.

i used it as cheap sound deadning instead of dynamat and its fine....

tip for applying it is to leave the box in the airing cupboard the night previous, makes it nice and warm and flexible easier to apply flat.
