What make alarm ?, battery drained in 2 weeks, I take it you have lots of extras on the alarm ?
Are you shutting all doors and holding bonnet switch down, or disconnecting to try arm/disarm first, is it going off as soon as battery connected if not just leave on charge for a while first.

My car was dead when I got back from holiday

Used key to open boot as it's the only lock that still works with the key, folded rear seat down, climbed inside car, exited through side door, pulled bonnet release, and turned the alarm siren off using the key thingy supplied for that purpose

Battery is charging now and I'll be back in business soon enough

To save climbing in and out of the car through the boot, the boot light wire(live) can be used to charge battery as is permanent, as done this myself, as too much of a phat phuck to go climbing around cars, and doing a limbo dance under the rear strut!!
I would now use the tow bar lecks to recharge if needed, the ones I tow caravans with at 30mph everywhere ha ha!!

See I'm not just shit for brains!!
I found this out, out of necessity as my neighbour was watching for me to crawl around the car and get stuck, so she could piss herself laughing no doubt ha ha!!
