the repositioning of the beam is what a lot of people do, basically you put the axel on top on the springs, its a crude way of doing it and can cause a few problems, somebody told me something about a load sensor coming on
, but a lot of people do it and get away with it
the best way of doing it would be to have the springs 'de-cambered' by a specialist
the front is the same as any other escort

to fit the axle on top of the springs on a mk5 or 6 tho you will have to cut off the flat bracket that sits under the springs and reweld it to the underside of the axle to get it to sit on top of the springs tho
as botters has said, but i made up something very similar to that flat bracket to sandwich between the axle and spring. then used for long bolts to clamp it all together. i did it this way incase i needed to return the van to its normal height.
and you will have to disconnect the lsv, which isnt a problem unless your planning on carrying any weight in the back.
