I quite like hat actually, but bear in mind that siggys must also stay below 25000bytes in size

oh no....please tell me it is smaller than 25K

I spent ages trying to get it small enough, and it should be 22k according the settings i saved it at...

Im obviously doing something wrong

yes there is. You should go to File -> Save For The Web
there are loads of settings and 1 of them is for filesize
