I am thinking of fitting a front and rear strut brace on my 3dr, But I am not sure if it will feel right once done. Some say it works and some say it dosent.

I have Koni adjustables and to be honest it feels fine. The rears rims are 9" wide and 8" on the front.

With to much weight or driven hard round corners the tyres do rub quite bad on the arches so I dont know if I fit a strut brace on the rear will it help or make things worse. I thought fitting the strut brace on the back will lessen the body roll, so less rubbing on the arches.

Id go for a set of coilovers if the wheels are rubbing, strut brace will look good but on normal roads you probably wouldn't notice much difference.

You should fit a front brace to stiffen the front, even if you don't notice a difference in the handling - the 3 door inner wings have a habit of cracking, made worse by increased suspension loads from larger wheels (ie lower profile tyres) and stiffer suspension.

Don't bother with a rear strut brace - put the money towards some new beam bushes instead.

 

As said the inner wings split from top to bottom about 6" behind the light apertures/surrounds.
You WILL notice a difference in stability esp under braking hard on rough surfaces but even overall stability.
The mk1 sierra is more wobbly than jelly on a plate tbh.
The rear as said is questionable, and fairly pointless even on coilys unless triangulated to floor centre.

My rear brace is amazing. I really notice a difference.

When I jack up my car with the brace both doors open properly. Without it the doors are wonky as many 3 door owners are aware. I notice all this on a chassis that is much stiffer than a cosworth shell, the XR4Ti.
