Default Mondeo ST TDCI at the auctions toady

Was at the local car auctions this morning and a black 05 Mondeo ST TDCI went throught, 70,000 miles and clean apart from needing the alloys refurbed. Went for £5k, good value?

depends on who's car it was before

and if it had any of the problem work done to it, injectors, dmf, etc but that's bottom book for it

There was no info on it at all, same as the rest of the cars there, we were there to look at a 330d sport but it was very tatty.

Very good price I'd say, unless the DMF, injectors and pump all needed doing then you're looking at over £2k fix.

£5000 plus auction fees - theres cars about at £5-6k if u look private!

You'd be very lucky to find one in that spec for £5k from what I've seen.

but he doesn't know if it's got the big jobs left to do dan, in which case, spunking £5k on a "sold as seen" motor is a bit of a risk

5k is a good price it depends if it was a facelift version or not, these cars are not cheap at the mo, check the autotrader they can be as much as 10k for a 07 car,

Yes facelift version. My mate was going to bid on it but being unaware of potential sale price put him off.

Sold my facelift 55 plate last year for £4400, admittedly I found out it was CAT D during the sale and had to drop the price, but I still think I got skanked.
