When would you EVER think youd see a Mk2 Escort with a huge TRUST front mounted intercooler

But then when did you EVER think youd see one running a big power SR20DET Engine! (Thats a S14 200SX and Pulsar GTIR engine BTW)

AFAIK it's Nissan conversions are done fairly regularly in places like South Africa and W.I. as pintos, cossies and zetecs aren't easily available over there. might be the Sr16 or 14 det (I'm not up on Nissan engines - is there such a thing??) conversion that's more common though.

both very cool though nice one for finding them

(btw - Yellow one's a mk2 as well - just an rs2000 - hence the pointy front! )

Mark- No, SR14/16DET dont exist, so i dont know what engine you mean

In Nissan engine terminology, the number is the capacity, ie 14 would be 1.4, 20 is 2litre.
DE is twin cam (E is single), and T is turbo.
The first 2 letters are just the engine name, SR, RB, etc

Steve,

is there a smaller RBxxDET with a turbo? if not, i reckon they've all been using the SR20DET motors then!!

Theres a RB20DET but RB engines are straight 6s and far longer than SRs so cant imagine them using one of them.

SR20DET would be the obvious choice if using a Nissan engine

I prefer the Signal Yellow one
