Hi Everyone

I just had a race with a scooby-WR1 in my 03 bmw-hamann 5 series

I was on the slip road of the motorway and i see his lights behind me, i hear his dump valve and i think its time for some fun.Put the auto-box in sport mode and used kickdown and we was off
the race was very short it went like this

80mph - on my rear bumper
100mph - 1 car behind me
115mph - 3 cars behind me
135mph - 7 cars behind me
170mph - bye bye can't see him anymore

slowed right down to about 70-85 mph.After about 5-10 minutes i see him again and he had the like-what-the-f**k is in that look on this face,my friend looked over and said ''he wants you to put your window down.'' which i do and the bloke says ''have you got a turbo on that or something.'' in which i said ''no its just hamann tuned 5 series'' LOL i forgot to tell him about the 5liter coversion i had done.

anyway to some the story up,

scooby's are not that fast when up aganist a true fast car.

bmw's - rule
ford's - rule (long live cossie power)

scoobs top speed is a bit gay though i'm sure if you went down a muddy rally stage he'd whip your ass and he'd be saying poxy BM couldnt keep up lmao.

and my 200sx only does 160 so i wouldnt race ya either :P

Agree with the above statement though, if you raced him anywhere that involved driving rather than just a straight line, i suspect he would have beaten you.

Always amusing though to educate people in their "fast" cars

Alex, thats the key though isnt, beating cars with bigger engines is one thing, but beating cars with an engine less than half the size is somewhat more routine!

my subaru can do 160mph proven but your 5 litre WOW.subaru's are only 2litres m8.race it on bends an then c who comes out tops

I own an Impreza and I'd say I'm pretty quick through "The Twisties"..........

However, in my S2, I stuck with an Impreza through "The Twisties" no problem at all................

It depends who is driving the car, whether they are putting 100% effort into it and are willing to thrash the tits off off their car just to win a race.

Would like to see a pic of the BM though, sounds like a weapon!!

Thanks for the replies,will post a pic of the bm when i get the digi cam working again.

i have got big respect for any ford with an RS badge on it.

Is there any news on the Rayland Cosworth
