Exclamation 2.0 blacktop zetec into focus 1.8 ???

my focus 1800 mk1 engine has blew up
and have a chance of a good running 2.0 zetec blacktop
out of a mondeo the engine block looks the same will
this fit into my focus if i use all my 1800 engine parts or is there a lot of mucking about ?
any help would be greatfully apriciated

i know people upgrade the 1.8 to 2.0 on mondeos and the mondy blacktop is the same as the focus lump so i'd say it would be ok.
you will need the 2.0 ecu though.
and possibly the maf as well

ecu needed obviously. May have to use your inlet manifold also with the 2.0 throttle body. Also need to change sump for yours. Easy

i take the mondy ecu would just plug into the focus ?
also would i need the transponer from the key of the mondy to match the ecu ?

if you do have problems with ecu's another option is to keep yours but have a remap to suit the new engine. Few hundred guid for good chip
