Default stack rev counter

just bought a second hand stack rev counter and the needle does'nt sit on 0.
is it broke or if i power it up will it go to 0?

should go to 0 when power it its a calibration process every time it is stopped and started iirc

good question, i guess you could just power it up with a battery ? but wouldnt know where to start with it regarding wires !

is 12v from a battery ok to use to power up?
also does any one know how to wire it up?
i have
2x reds from the same pin
2x blacks from the same pin
1x yellow
1x blue
1x green
1x orange

Black 12v negative
Blue Reset button
Orange tacho pick up point

just put power to it, the needle goes the wrong way (anti clock wise) first starts to click then goes clock wise and stops at 5500rpm.

how go i reset it?

Touch the blue wire to negative.

tried that mate but nothing happens. a red light flashed under the stack writing but only did once. touched the the blue wire to negative again and not even a red light
