iv noticed on my dads cossie that when he boots it and then takes his foot off the acelerator he gets a small puff of blue smoke anyone got any ideas

cosworth do do this a bit but if it gets bad it will be the turdo on its way out . has the car done a lot of miles and when did it last have some new oil in it

 

as above dont bother about it unless its bad,, almost every car will puff out on full chat

 

its just the car giving a little sigh of relief lol

wouldnt worry too much

 

Does it do it more when the car slows and the revs come down to idle? If so, this would indicate a worn thrust seal in the turbo, otherwise it is a bit of blow-by the rings, which depending on the mileage is pretty normal.
