Default 2004 ST 170 Engine warning light

Basic problem but hoping you can help - engine warning light came on after starting car from cold and driving a few metres. Not flashing but not going off even after topping up engine coolant (which had been low). No other warning lights on. Any ideas? Cheers.

It won't come on because of low coolant. Disconnect the negative lead off the battery for about half an hour to reset light and see if it comes back.

Lambda sensors always go on the st170's. If it is this it won't damage the engine to drive it with the light on, but best to get it sorted soon-ish!
