Default EFI management question....again.

thanks for all the other replys on my other post, now i know what is envolved in converting the efi loom, to run fiesta turbo management.

Pretty easy with the cabby were doing but not see easy with a RS turbo.

thing is i dont wanna replace the whole loom as i have a clifford concept 300 and dont wanna mess with it. can i just wire in the efi management part of the loom to the existing loom? i presume the management side is the only part of the loom thats differnt.

If i can do this has anyone got any ideas on how i do actually do it? im sure theres some people on here thats done it.

this is the route i took there's about 5 - 6 wires to join into your origional loom. things like Earth, perm live switched live rev counter etc. Fairly easy

all i did is get a fiesta turbo engine loom ecu map sensor etc... then remove the MFI engine loom in the same way again about 6 or so wires needed removing. Binned that and then addeed the EFI loom in its place and it even started first try

The only problem i have doing that is i dont wanna remove my alarm. is there any way of wiring in part of the EFI loom to the MFI loom without removing the MFI loom to the car?

i presume theres only a few extra things to wire in, such as the crank position sensor etc. and will probobly need to swap a few pins around on the connector to the ECU

i might be well off and it might not be possible at all, but theres got to be an easy way of doing it.

read above my alarm is still on the car the only thing i removed is the Engine loom which is both ECU's and all sensors etc its easy too see as you remove what needs to go. Car loom (lights horn etc) all stays the same so wont afect your alarm...

my pins didn't need changing as it was a FRST loom to start with. If you use a standard EFI loom there are a few pins to change yes.

ok with you now. just the management side of the loom. yeah that sounds fairly easy then. nice one m8.

oh. what alrm have you got? mines got a turbo timer etc wired into it, so might be a few more wires in the engine bay.

is there nothing from the alarm that get wired into the ecu?
