Default Completed a 36mile off road bike ride for charity yesterday..

And my legs absolutely Cain

me and 2 mates went to sherwood forest yesterday for a national heart foundation bike ride.. We actually rode just over 40miles as we got lost at start lol... On a personal level I'm so happy as really didn't think I could or would do it!

Longest I've road is 15miles so was a struggle! Nearly felt like giving up towards the last 10miles...

Great day out and the weather was superb.. Would recommend it to anyone.

Few beers the night before wasn't a great idea but the pint afterwood tasted so great

bring on the London to Brighton.. Should be a doddle in comparison.. He says

What time are you starting London to Brighton?

Maybe meet up for a beer in Brighton when you're done?

Rich - not sure on start time as a mate sorted it all out but I shall find out and let you know. Would be nice to meet for a well deserved pint afterwards. Got a friend down in Brighton so I think we will be staying all evening for a few

Thanks lads... Felt like crying near the end which was a bit gay

Well done mate

Considering how much training I do for my boxing and how long I can last in the ring, I've just come back home after doing a 10 miles bike ride and I'm fooked
Mind you, I did go down the cuts where the surface is faaaar from smooth

thanks AJ.

Its surprising how much it takes it out of you, especially those long slight radient up hills.. they are killers

The place, Sherwood Forest is absolutely superb for mountain bikes. Loads of bike trails with signage etc.. Wil definately be going back but not to do 36 miles

Clumber park is really good in the summer for BBQ's, you will have passed it on the way, as you come of the A1 and head upto sherwood forests visitor centre.

Loads of fanny to be seen.

Link to the place, can't find the concert details but you may have better look.

i think its mainly on road, with some off road, average 60-80km a day in 25-30 degree heat, looks an amazing ride looking at the itinery, get to see where Indiana Jones was filmed and a day sight-seeing in Petra, just what you need to recover from a numb arse
