Ive got a set of 3dr wheels gettin re-furb this week,im gonna put sum new tyres on them too but should i put 195 45 15 or 195 50 15?Thanks for any replys,there goin on an xr2i

ive just put 195.45.15 on my new wheels , a set of 4 toyos cost me £240 fitted , there not cheap rubbers
kuhmo and falcon do some but not for me
but they are cheaper but not by that much really

if u put 50 on then they would be alot cheaper IMO

if its an xr2 deffo 45 profile
xr2i id use an 50 profile as mk3 has more room

 

but will look shit

 

so if your going for looks over ride fit 45s, simples

HANKOOK VENTUS EVO V12 K110, most awsome tire ever, read the comments on discounttiredirect.com, from what I've found with mine, they obliterate eagle F1, PS2, SO3, SP9000, and the F1 Supercar tyres on vettes, all say they are better by a massive way in every respect, and under 1/2 the price of some others std fit ones, agree 100% with these findings.

I like the look of th red one which tyres are they on it,the tread looks ace,is it road legal tyre too?mine sits like that too with the back end up a bit,front looks spot on though so mite go for the 50s

 

yes its a full road legal car ,the tyres are toyo r888s 215-50-15s front and 205-50-15 rears but will be going back down to 205 all round found no extra grip in the 215.

 

depends how low the car is, if you get 45s and the gaps between the arches are too big, it will look pants!

heres mine, 195,45,16 on the rear and 195,50,15 on the front, thats how ll be driving it everyday now. its a bit odd having higher profile on the front but i prefer the drive on 50s

 

NO fortunately all the tyre tests I have read have been accurate, I read these as new tyres compounds change every year, so best keep up eh!!
Amazing all the vette C6 guys are ripping off new Goodyear Supercar tires and replacing with the hankooks at less than 1/2 the price and reporting massively better in every respect.
Read for yourself discounttiredirect.com read the reveiws, comparing them with SP9000, SO3, PS2 F1 Supercar tires, no one has rated them anything other than ace and better in every respect than the others, on all manner of cars, porker 996 went for Potenzas to evo v12, "head and shoulders above"(SO3), 540i on SP9000 "outperform in everyway" the dunlops.
I go through tyres have 3 cars in family with same size so happy to try new tyres.
Amazing what the 7th largest tyre maker can produce for the price compared with the bigger boys(inferior more expensive tyres), but then Hankook may only be 7th largest, but they are the no1 fastest growing tyre firm in the world, above all the established makes, wonder why ?
