Default stolen cossies in 80's/90's?

what happened to all the cossies stolen in the 1980's/1990's? was this the start of high insurance premiums? where are they now? stolen to order? or just sheer greed amounst car thieves? who was to blame? teams of ford collectors or ramraiders? is it still happening today? had my first cossie in 1990 ex-demo from ford had to drive 20 miles flat knacker before i used to go home make sure wasn't being followed by a car thief, who is to blame? who can you trust with your pride and joy?

Most of the stolen ones only got stoled for joy, or robberies, ramraids etc....

probably most were found damaged somewhere or burnt out.

Many broke for parts too and many got lost in the rally scene.

Seems to have gone onto the latest cars, scoobys ,lancers etc....

I used to see Grafitti in a local rough/dodgy area saying "Bing Bong ya Cosworths gone!" That was around 1990. Says it all really!

its not strange, have you seen the price of cosworth parts now!

Worth a fortune in bits as we all know, and unfortunatly so do the theives.

There is a % age that is fraudulent etc....but most is theft or accidental damage.

My saff was written off not long ago, theres another one gone for good.
