Gary at brentacre insurance has just given me the best quote after calling a lot of companys.
No extra charges for cosmetic modifications, only power increases.

Worth giving them a call.

Out of interest did you try my company? We also would not charge for cosmetic mods.

I will give them a try, I have had some quotes from flux, need2insure etc still waiting on reply from sky insurance.... Is it just me or has all insurance went up this year

sky insurance poop, won't touch me cos i have an sp30 and a claim.

The reason they weren't competitive for me was apparently because the car is standard and their policies are geared towards modified/import/etc, which sounds fair enough.
