Out of the choices above I think I would go for the HD2, looks a cool little phone and you'll be able to install windows mobile 7 on it when it comes out too.

i have a hd2 currently win6.5 is not great but as said above when winmo7 comes out it apparently is awesome and will totally change the phone!
it does everything i could ask it to and more

At the mo is only really use the phone, text and camera, so are the rest of the features n00b friendly?

if i can work it then you will find your way around them easily enough, htc sense is pretty good and the weather feature that changes where ever you are in the country is pretty cool! currently i only use it for text and as a phone. the camera is very good on it with a wide screen it takes a very good picture. apps store is nothing like the i phone apps store but will get better (windows market place has only been going for around 6 months i believe)

From my very limited knowledge, it would seem that you may not be able to upgrade to Windows 7
when it surfaces. To the OP, the new HTC desire is out the beginning of April, might be worth waiting?
Ordered the HTC HD2, so if its pants someones dog is gonna get teabagged

I would have had to pay out for a Desire and I refuse to pay for phones when they relieve me of enough on contract as it is.

Any one got or had a nokia n900....upgrade time for me too. I want an all round phone with a good camera so the i phone is out of the question.
I know theres that new sony in april with 8 mega pixels but never really got on with them, so i think this leaves me with the n900, blackberry?
Any views???

I have the N900 and have done for over a month now - it's absolutely fantastic!
Beats any of the above! IMO
Iphone - better camera and faster - 600mhz processor
HTC HD2 - Great phone hardware wise but as someome said above the OS lets it down fantasticaly
Blackberry - good phone for business but not for me - didn't like it at all - Seemed tto businessy - but I suppose that depends on which one?
The N900 has by far the best web browsing interface i've ever seen on a phone, probably because it's a internet tablet that can do phone stuff as opposed to a phone that can do internet stuff.
All apps are free! (IIRC might not be right on this one i'll have to check)
Camera is ok but my last phone camera was 8mg so maybe my standards are too high?
Full qwerty keyboard is great and I can now text without looking at the keyboard (like the good old days!!)
Multitasking is fantastic, phone has no problem with having several applications open at once
I love it and i'm sure I still will in another 12 months!

Yeah, it does seem like there's not a massive amount in it - just personal preference to the interface

Std memory and the ability to expand on it
Camera
Screen resolution - way ahead
Flash support
FM Transmitter and FM reciever - N900 has both so need to buy the Itrip!
These are some of the reasons I chose the N900 over the Iphone and others let alone the fact you have to pay through the nose for a Iphone!
Good link there Dan it does seem that from that link the N900 has the advantages in several key areas

Yep. Can watch it full screen too.
Haven't tried it yet, but will try tonight.
Yup, CoPilot v8 15 days trial. Upgrade it to full version for just £26.99 - cheap!
and the BBC iplayer on it? Seems there are some folk who are not able (mainly T mobile folks).
PS, does it come with some kind of Satnav whatsit?
From ordering to arriving on my doorstep in less than 24 hours maybe our company should follow their lead

Anyway, its here and ive got 2 days off to play/get annoyed with it.
Fair size bigger than my SE, are all phones going big these days?
