Default XR2 racecar with ST170 engine poss build

I'm thinking of building an XR2 racecar with St170 engine and Jenvey throttle body set up and Omex ECU.

What is needed to sucessfuly fit the ST170 engine into the Mk2 Fiesta, I know I need to change flywheel to CVH and sump for a 1.8 Zetec Escort or Fiesta item.

Will be run on BC gearbox

Any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated

the st170 is basically a blacktop with variable valve timing to give a nice ride on low revs.
just like fitting a blacktop zetec mate
obviously you'll need engine mount modded, loom and ecu, would be simple bolted onto a cvh gearbox though.

No need to change the sump on the ST170 as its already the right way.

You need to spin the water pump the opposite way though. There are brackets available from area6 that do this off the shelf.

The flywheel can be 1.6/1.8 zetec or a efi CVH if you have one. If fitting CVH the mounting holes need drilling to 11mm which is 0.5mm bigger than normal.

The engine mount needs sorting just the same as any zetec but thats not a problem.
