ive jsut won a punto on ebay which is smokeing becasue off the turbo, he said the seals have gone, when i rang him up he tells me 'its not boosting because the seals are gone, you can hear it trying but it wont boost'

now when i had my 200sx the seals went in that and it smoked, but it also boosted up fine, my rs turbo had the same thing and smoked ALOT but still boosted up fine.

Is there another problem with this car? he kept saying it is very slow without the boost, and kept saying because the seals are gone it wont boost?

 

Turbo actuator more like I'd of thought. When mine went on my RST it just felt flat like driving a very under powered NA car.

 

boost leak does the same sounds like its boosting but no go
