Default Help required from PF plummers

Woke up this morning to a cold house and no hot water. Looked at the boiler and there is a light flashing showing it has low presure. This has happened once before and you have to open a tap on the underside of the boiler unit to presumably let more water into the system?? Tried it today though and nothing happened as in you cant feel anything flowing as you open the tap.

Can any plummers advise me as to what this might be before I call someone out.

Cheers for any help.

Yes, mine has 2 taps.

How often are you filling it? Maybe indicative of a problem?

Yes, there may be a valve isolating the flushing loop because they can pass and overfill the system. When you fill it take it up to 1.5bar on the gauge. Check all your rads for leaks too as there is a reason why it has lost pressure.

what boiler have you got?

is it just the heating or the hot water that's gone?

is there something else that might have tripped the system so that it's not starting to heat up?

etc?

Fixed. Well for now anyways. Didi a bit of research and its a common problem on these boilers. Took the tap off and the bit inside that screws up to seal it off has broken off and it wouldnt let water flow. Need a new tap now.
