Hi there, is it usual to need the standard top mount for front coilovers ?
My kit came today and they were the only thing i didnt get

yes bud thats normal ive bought 2 sets and both times i have had to use my standard top mounts

Anything I should watch out for when fitting them?.

you just have to look out for the bottom pinch bolt that holds the strut to the hub mines were rusty and didnt want to come off i had to remove the full strut/hub complete and hit a smaller socket on and use a bit heat to get them off thats the hardest part on the front but if yours are ok then you will be lucky and on the rear i had to use a set of spring clamps to get the spring out and back in but there fairly easy apart from that
