Jay felt he no longer wanted to moderate....

I had my moderation status taken away from me because i posted a for sale link to a car i had available at work.

Shame really... even normal member gets a warning or something for doing something wrong, but it seems the new admin is on a zero tolerance policy now.

Never mind, if this is how i get thanked for a good couple of years modding, im pleased i no longer have to be associated to this site as staff.

I imagine its hard enough finding decent people to commit the time and effort to moderate internet forums without treating them this way for just trying to help out a user.

Im sure if there had been the intent to trade then the obvious way would have been to send a pm, then no one would have been any wiser rather than posting the bit of information openly on the forum.

Big loss to the site and its reputation if this was the sole reason for Maria being removed as a mod.

 

I'm pretty sure thats still trading though so you can't really moan? You broke the rules so you were 'dealt with'. You should know better and as you were a moderator you were used as an example so they could say, look what we did to Maria when she was caught trading.

Your life is over now that you are no longer a moderator Maria.

 

thats a bit harsh like,i think most of the mods were sound but maria was good like.

It sure is... im not sure how im gonna cope with not getting endless pm's for names changes, or messages asking me to sort disputes out... or even not having my name in green anymore... i just dont know what im going to do.

Jay is hardly ever on here anymore, so makes perfect sense standing down, as you cant mod well without being a regular user IMHO (just look at the confusion eagle gets himself into when he tries to do so )

 

I saw the ad, and assumed that was behind it...

Bit sad really. I mean, how many people post links and stuff to dealer's who have cars for sale in sooooooo many threads. It's not as if any main car dealership is going to take any business away from PF traders.

Thanks for answering my PF Policy related questions swiftly and honestly. I've only ever contacted a mod when I've wanted to clarify something realting to rules which wasn't totally clearcut, so hope I wasn't too much of a burden, lol.

Whenever I've had any issues or questions to ask, I think I've only ever spoken to Maria or Adrian as I've always found them to be very helpful and relaxed.

 

Im pleased there are a few people on here who share my opinion that it was a tad OTT.

Well... unfortunately Simon, i have never really been liked by the new Admin, which annoys me slightly as hes never met me, never even spoken to me.... but i personally feel this is just his way of getting me out of being staff. If your face doesnt fit n all that...
