Matt, about 3k i think, no paper work, i had it for years. I sent it back to CTS a while back to be refurbed in full, im sure they will have my name on file or if you gave them the numbers you could check it.

Currently on the car and running spot on, i just dont want to kill it and i want more power, so i am being sensible and letting it go now, so the cash can go towards a better transmission to take the shit i'll be throwing at it

its all bout the bargins i must add that i also got an ap clutch and vibratec mounts with 1400 miles on them all for Ł680 and i have seen these boxes go for more than that i would say Ł500-Ł750 dependant on condition bearing in mind there Ł980 with an exhange for an erst box + delivery i wouldnt sell mine for Ł500 lol

aye, bargains rule. I wouldnt push as high as 750 but closest to 700 will take it, seeing as i see a stage1 for 600, loads of interest on PM which is cool. Nothing confirmed with anyone as of yet though

 

neil you know if this is much stronger over the stage 1 box or is the only difference the quaife? what power boost were you running in the fez, much work to put in an s2

 

Unless i am wrong, just age? Both are compatibe anyway. The BC was before the IB5 and unless someone shoots me down they have a better rep for bearings. Not indestrucable as i killed one before but i am a bit of a tool

 

easy to fit in S2

The Stage 2 has the ATB and IIRC uprated bearings, but please check that with gearboxman/CTS as i don't want to be wrong, pretty sure though.

ran up to 20psi on CVH, i killed one with 15psi and a fair ol bit of shit with my 1600 engine. It took 270bhp@ 9psi really well from my Zetec turbo, but i want more power and i just know it will die sooner or later so im better to sell while its sweet and use the cash towards my next move

 

why not send it back and get it made up to the stage 2 +

Neil it says on there website that the bearings are the same rating as the ib5 gearbox

 

Because i want a Focus RS box. I am limited with clutch options that will take 300+ on this box. They have a smoother feel to, kinda important when trying to be smooth on track.

 

Cheers for the info, so it's sayin the BC box from CTS have uprated IB5 spec bearings. Pretty much what i said, but i don't wanna or need to be misleading people.
