I'm after replacing the resistor pack twice in the last month. It seems to work fine for a week or so and then packs in again.

The only difference is the original one in the car is a blue plastic type and the new ones i got from Ford were black plastic.

Is there anything else along the circuit that could cause this overload?

Too much resistance will kill the resistors, is the fan motor binding really tight ?
