Default s reg van 55 weight

hi guys, i am not sure weather this is the right place, but i have a question regarding van weight

i have an s reg 1.8 d 55 van, inside the van there is a sticker thats says weight 550 kg inlcuding driver passenger and load, does this include a full tank of fuel or not ie is 550 kg plus fuel or 550 kg inc fuel

I had always assumed the 550kg was for the load in the rear, I thought manufacturers stated the weight of vehicles with all the fluids in...

the specs for a van of this year
kerb weight 975-1010kg
max gross vehicle weight 575-1800 kg
exact kerb weight depends on modle .refere to vin plate

550kg does not include fuel, driver or any other bits in the van its the total carrying weight, quite a few people get into trouble with vans over this as the assume for example that a 190 transit means it can carry 1.9 tonne load when the weight of the driver and fuel and any other bits in the van need to be deducted from the 1.9 tonnes

No, the 550kgs needs to include the tank of fuel and people.

So your load capacity can be quite small if you have a full tank of fuel and 2 large people up front. This will also include silly things like ply lining which I know doesn't weigh a lot but it all adds up.
