Rob,
Cheers fella's!

Power wise somewhere between 220bhp and 250bhp, my turbo is the limiting factor being a Stage 2.

Lol its kinda what i meant, trick is to rush it and try finishing it before she gets home from work lol then you just need to rid the house of that machine shop smell..... failing that just smash the kitchen window, batter the place up a bit and tell her some wanker of a neighbour threw an escort engine through the window.

Rob,
LMAO! Quality Rob!!
It only took me a few hours this afternoon, and that included cleaning everything, and tripple checking/torquing everything, was really really thorough!
Although.... I did drop piston number one in and then realise I hadnt fitted the expansion rings that secure the rod/piston pin! lol

Yes they do and IMO it's just as important as refacing the head if you want a perfect HG seal

Nice work Karl, couple of observations though....

1. I'm surprised you didn't take the opportunity to clean the block up!

2. Did you seriously put sealer all round the sump gasket??!!

3. I don't use Graphogen anywhere except on the cam lobes/followers, certainly not in the bores.

Either way, should be great to get up and running again!!

put a lick of paint on the block mate either black or blue or even go red to match the rest of the car! will look so much better in the engine bay!
