Default innovate wideband how accurate ?

just seen this on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INNOVATE-DB-BL...item439c274d93

but how accurate are they ?

i had a stack on the cos and that showed 11.6 which was exactly what msd mapped to. but this is £60 cheaper and has enough cable to reach as fitting is in cat replacemet pipe.

iirc the inovate LC-1 is pretty accurate, rapidcossie had one on his sapph and I think he was pleased with it!

They are accurate, IF working, from what I have seen, a lot of the tvr boys use them, well were using them but sometimes out of a 5 order 3 didn't work right out of the box or broke very soon, I was going to get one of these but went tech edge instead.

I have the same, and mine has never worked , how did you fix it ?

If I send it back to innovate at my expense, gotta pay a $45.00 fee just

to get em to look at it , and then pay for the return post !

And thats a big IF..

Plus, why they still havent made this into an easy to install unit is beyond me. Fucking about with skinny little wires to add switches and LED's etc. Like WTF is that all about ??

We live in a plug n play world !!

There really are so many options out there, its hard to choose.

I have an LM-1 and use it regularly, ant it works well. I also have a couple of LC-1's in use.

But TBH, I wouldnt buy one again even if it meant spending a little extra. I'd prob buy PLX, Zeitronix, NGK, Techedge, AEM etc

I'd probably buy NGK's first though

http://www.ngk.com/afx/

Although PLX's stuff comes with some cool multifunction gauges

AEM also gets good reviews and can be found very cheaply on egay

mine kept giving lean / rich readings, went over and over the set up procedure done the warm up etc but it never said in the instructions or cd that it had to be warmed up each time may be its me being stupid but i found it out from a vid on youtube. My aem one didnt need warming up it just fired up straight away, innovative needs 35 sec warm up each time you start the car up, WANK if you ask me

every wideband needs warming up.

Whats the big deal ? it isnt anything the user has to worry about. Its done automatically every time its powered up.

Feckinghell some bad shit said about them on here.
Ive been using one for over a year now with no shit most evo owners map with them aswell.
Wasnt no big ass deal to fit very simple. Just make sure you calibrate it out side ie not in the boss fitting in the cat when you first install it.. After that its fine fit it into the boss and forget..

True, all of the Innovate stuff doesnt like hot sensors.

But the LC-1 is still problematic. I think there was a bad batch of them too, which didnt helpt their cause.

Heat is easily controlled with a heatsink bung extender, still reads accurately IMHO
