I love to see threads like this.. your just aloud 2 pics, one from before you restored your car, an one after. So lets see them. I haven't done a resto so I can't start it though.

Phew, just been looking through the pics on your profile and thought you owned all the cars...proper green eyed monster going on.... The Mk2's are stunning, especially the all white one, If I were to build one that's how it would look...
Good news your doing a S1, will be a cracker if its anywhere near the standard of your 3dr!

What wheels are they and what size, and is that a custom front splitter blended into the front arches?

havent done much since then what with one thing or another but its booked into the body shop start of may for paint so i really need to get the finger out now

Here's mine - full back to bare metal rebuild, complete engine rebuild - lightened and balanced bottom end, new 500CFM Weber/Edelbrock carb, fast road/race cam, lightened and balanced flywheel.
Zakspeed body kit (one off one piece front wings), fibreglass bonnet and boot, new 9"/10" x 16" split rims, stainless 4 into 1 pipes x2, atlas axle with 2 peice billet shafts, Corbeau racing seats with Schroth GT3 Cup harnesses, full cage - took me about 4 1/2 years to complete working as and when.
Newer, stronger LT77 gearbox to go in next weekend (after I broke the last one twice last year).
Really looking forward to getting out in it as much as possible in 2010, starting with Scotch Corner meeting at the end of March
