Default oppinions on this pump??

Looking for a pump to use on my track car , and found this on ebay, says it is self priming and filtered , also claims to be good for well over my 550bhp aplication.

I am going to give it a go, just wondered if anyone has had any exsperiance with them ?

Isnt an 044 good for 500bhp, i'd stick with the names you know that work rather than losing a 500bhp engine down to a cheap quality pump.

so it works out to about £108 to your door for a pump that is not proven
and for about £120/£130 you can put a pump on that is trusted time and time again
i did look at these pumps as iv just put a new pump on my 3dr but al the end of the day i wont to no the pump is right and wont fuck my motor up fort the say so of £20 to rebuild a cosworth motor is more than £20

Look amazingly BOSCH to me, right down to the markings, could well be a bosch made in usa, as they make in pretty much most countries.

There are some people claiming they modify 044's for better performance...who knows.

But flow claims for 044's vary from seller to seller...country to country.

Either way, I wouldnt risk my setup to un unknown, unbranded fuel pump.

They also dont offer any test voltage. But their results dont look much different to what I tested my dual 044 setup as, except mine was fully installed. ( dividing results by 2 of course )

at 60psi, 1/2 of my results would indicate 243 lph at 13.1 volts for a regular 044 through my entire fuel system, and measured out the return.

SO I dont see anything special about their pumps.

is the 044pump self drawing, the reason i ask is that my fuel pump will have to be mounted about 300mm higher than the tank outlet,(.the main reason for getting this pump) and i was hoping to not have to use a lift pump?? and iirc for applications over 500bhp 2x044 pumps are recomended

You've got about as much chance of getting the 044 to suck up 300mm, as a shag with the nice ms cole!!
Seriously the 044 does not do any suction whatsoever.

thats why i am hoping this one will.????
I was originaly building a track car and in my infinate widom cut out the spare wheel well, with the intension of a tank in the back. I now want to do a race series and due to a hatch not having a firewall i will have to use a tank under the car(original cos)as an in car tank to get through scrutineering is over my budget.

No efi pumps suck.

Why do you want to mount the pump above the level of fuel anyway ? doesnt make any sense.
