No it won't, it's £35 to claim less than £1500. Take the legal route, it might scare them into paying up, if not then at least they will have a CCJ against them if they still fail to pay up

You're incorrect. Fees are not based on that structure.

Depending on the court, there may also be a hearing fee which is about £70.

As you've used MonyClaim before then I'm sure you will be familiar with a claims request form. As such you'll recognise both of the screen captures below as being the aforementioned form. You'll also no doubt be aware that the form includes the relevant court fee:






Claim #1: £803.64. Court fee £60
Claim #2: £46.14. Court fee £25

Still care to argue that fee is £35 for any amount under £1,500 or would you like to conceed that as I originally stated, you are in fact incorrect

If you know which kid caused the damage and the parents are not doing anything about it i would call the police as surely this must come under something like vandalism or criminal damage or whatever. I don't see why you should be out of pocket if you know for certain who did it.
