Depending on the court, there may also be a hearing fee which is about £70.
That said, I'd probably still take them to small claims court (depending on the exact circumstances), even if it was just to piss them off.
I don't think so mate, if you use moneyclaim online it's £35 for less than £1500. Any costs are added to the claim. So I think you will find YOU are incorrect
