Yup its true!!!

A £35,000 350bhp RS Clubsport will be released this year with a limited run of 500 featuring lightweight racing seats, lowered and stiffened suspension with sticky tyres, plus a drmatic twin tone paintjob!!!! 0-60 will be 5 seconds......





The 2nd one is to be released in 2013 will feature a 2.0 Ecoboost direct injection turbo. It will be a 4X4 hybrid turbo!!!

 

I can see the quotes now.....

"35k for a focus!!!!!"

"4x4....why dd they do that in the first place"

Can't wait lol, though the focus rs should always have been 4 wheel drive

 

Hybrid 4wd though, electric motor powering the rear

Probably be £40k+ if/when it goes on sale as well... we'll see

Not sure on engine doing the front wheels with an 80hp or so motor doing the rears - presumably for a short time only.

as said in previous post about this clubsport looks good new frs will be nothing like when its released i bet if it even is released!

 

Should be interesting to see what they actually release. Will probably look nothing like those pictures. Their going in the right direction though.... 4x4

 

What Pants the new focus will be !! Call that a 4x4 with hybrid powering the rear wheels !! Ford motor company get a grip,and make a real 4x4 RSfocus, hint hint,evo's,scoobys,skylines,and now vauxhall will have a proper 4x4 Astra VXR,WILL MAKE FOCUS LOOK SAD!
If anybody thinks that front wheel drive focus RS's will hold money ,dream on!! Long live the sierra/escort cosworths,and a proper engine not VOLVO which they are at mo!!

Looks too tame and as already said those rear lights look shit & not in proportion with the rest of the car.

I suppose the 'clubsport' one solves the problem of deciding between white and blue

 

tbh it needs one, it looks too large, its meant to be a hatch and the bloody bonnet is almost as high as a land rover, dont like them tbh, need to be made smaller lol

Best tell Ferrari then Mr expert as they have several working prototypes of this concept and will be putting one into production sooner than later

As for the tagger saying £35k for a focus, thats why they've never done it before!!!!!

And nobody flinches at £35 for an EVO with the same power and 4wd, yet the focus will easily have a better spec and a better quality cabin!

Need to open eyes and embrace the future guys!

Apart from the paintjob the Clubsport looks very nice.

I really want a FRS, trying to steer away from fwd cars but they do look the part.

 

MK1 Focus RS seem to have held their value well, 50% retained value over 7 years. Better than Evo, Impreza, hint hint...
