About a month ago my Dad got flashed doing 36 in a 30.

Letter came giving him the option of 3 points and Ł60 fine or speeding awareness course and Ł60 fine.

He did the course, I think he said it was 3 hours long and free coffee/tea aswell!

when i did speed awareness course it was a 2 day course and cost me 120quid was the most boring two days of my life full of smarmy patronising driving instructors only bit i enjoyed was tailgating and scaring the shit out of one of the instructors on the way home after the second day!

My ex-father-in-law got done for speeding. That was 36 in a 30 zone and he had the choice. He took the course too, but 3 points shouldn't do anything to your insurance, but if you have the points you do run the risk for the next 3 years of getting more and then increasing your insurance

Ł60 for the course! Must depend on the area then cos in West Yorkshire its Ł100 to do the course instead of getting the points! and no, it wasn't me, it was Keith, the first day he took the BMW out

My uncle also got flashed and had the option of 3points/Ł60 fine or Speeding awareness course/Ł60 fine.

He choose to do the course, paid his Ł60 and forgot to turn up! He hasn't heard anything since, was 4-5months ago.

I suppose they don't care once they have your money.

was it near two petrol stations - one on each side of the road if so that is London Road and you may get lucky as my old dear years ago sped thru that without realising and never got a ticket.

If its slough you willmore than likely have a ticket by the end of the week - my one came the next day

the course depends on what yu've done

first up, wait for the letter to arrive
in some cases, if it's your first offence or whatever, the offer of the course is available, but sometimes not depending otn eh speed you've been clocked at

bloke at work got clocked twice for speeding, once locally and once n liverpool, on the same day

he got speed awareness courses letter options for both offences
