How to put mp3s from pc to ipod touch?

How do you put mp3s from a pc directly onto a ipod touch?

Ive tried dragging the files and going to file/add but nothing appears on the ipod? just keeps saying "no content"?

Help please

U need to use I tunes its bloody awful, I ended up trying to smash my touch it drives me mad, If I known you hav to use i tunes i would never hve purchased the lump of crap

My touch really pisses me off, the jack fucked up after 2 months use and it's deleted all my tune's twice.
