only if you are dealing with him ,ie you have bought something from him or he has bought something from you ,if so he can then go into advanced search and request your details but only if you have had a transaction with him

Ahhh ok, nah ive not got anything open with the guy, when i rang ebay they needed account details so i gave them mine, not thinking that this nutter might be able to get my address...

So i reported it, but as ive no open transactions with the guy theres no way of him getting my address?

no ebay wont release it no matter how hard he trys if you are still concerned you can go into your account and remove your address but that doe's mess things up if your buying things

have you listed something before using a classifed ad on ebay? ive had this before had a car for sale and sold it, then two weeks later i get a call about another random car and the fella says my contact number is on the ad, seems ebay isnt that good with the classifed ads

Why not use the "Ask the seller a question" thing and say you tried calling but the number in the ad is wrong?

Worst case then is he has your user name but, as you are doing him a favour, why should that be a problem?
