Default Any1 else REALLY struggle getting up in the Morning?

I really really struggle to get up, doesn't matter what time I go to bed either.
I could go to bed at 10pm or 2am and it doesn't make a difference, I still can't get up.
My mrs gets up at 7am and I don't notice, don't hear here phone alarm, even when she goes downstairs and comes up with a cup of tea, I don't always wake up, I usually wake up at 7.30 ish but hate gettin up and feel crappy for an hour or so, but am fine at 11pm and could happily stay up till 2.

I sleep fine so it's not that, any1 else have the same problem? Or know what I can do to b mote alive 1st thing?

Stupid thing is I can go out and get really drunk and I will wake up at 7 feelin great, no hangover.... But can't do it during the week when I know I gotta get up for work lol. Even tho I know I'm gunna b late if I don't leave at 7.30 lol

Don't smoke anything, never have, no drugs, don't drink during the week.
I'm a very busy/active person and work/always doing stuff from 8.30-10pm never just sit around watchin telly except if im in on a Friday/Saturday night.

you could working too hard and thus tiring yourself out.

try taking it easy for a bit - or it could also be some sort of gas leak at your house (my bro had this as his mrs kept falling asleep but he was fine) - may be worth getting it checked out as its a free check.

We did this on the landlord at uni at 3am for a laugh and were well surprised to find the house we rented off him had a horrendous gas leak

That was my first thought! The gas thing is a good point too, I was paranoid about that and got a carbon monoxide thing, but no leak lol.

I do struggle with it sometimes, I work from home and its hard to get going sometimes!

Diamonds, it's exactly the same here, she wakes up no problem every mornin but by 9.30 she's fucked and needs her bed, can't stay awake.
Ran, interesting about the gas but pretty sure there's no leak. I could b over workin but have been like this for as long as I can remember, even at school and generally I'm not tired when I go to bed at 11ish, it's just cos it's gettin late.

Stupid thing is if I had to get up at 4 I'd b ok. Whenever I have to b up at that time for whatever reason it's fine (but that's not work related so is different I Spose)

it's really annoying tho
I'd love to b able to get up at 6.30, do a couple of things b4 going to work.

So I got a dog, best alarm clock ever I just go a let it out of the kitchen and it'll make sure shes awake in about 5 seconds

i go to bed at 12ish and get up at 6ish, all i need is 6hrs sleep anymore and i'll feel like shite, wont wanna get up, will feel soooooo tired up until past midday. it's just to much sleep doesn't matter how tired i am from a hard days work my rest time is taking it easy in the evening after kids go to bed.

Do you sleep walk? having an unrestful nights sleep will cause you to be tired for obvious reasons. might wanna check that, doesn't mean u have to get up out of bed and walk around could just be you wake up alot during the night but don't realise it's that. Watched a documentary on telly few months ago, alot of people that feel over tired in the mornings found that they weren't getting a good nights kip. Usually caused by stress or over tiredness, things on your mind, bills, debts work etc. Try and clear your mind before you go to bed, listen to some easy listening music before bedtime, classical is good for this, just relax yourself and empty your mind see if this has any effect on your sleep.

Good Luck

That's another thing, I can't turn my mind off, when I am in bed I can't not think of anything. Nothing serious, not work related or about bills, money or anything. It's just general crap I think of or stuff I wanna do or am lookin forward to.
I think I sleep ok, I know I am restless and stir during the night, part of that is down to drinkin too much coffee, I've cut down from 8/9 cups a day to 2/3.
But it's mornings that are my problem, I hate gettin out of bed, even to walk the dogs, I just end up startin work later lol

You might not think it but you are depressed (aparently) , i had this a few years ago slept great but come the morning i just kept needing more time in bed to bring myself to get out, once i was up i was fine. Doctor gave me tablets and had a chat in my ear. I fucked the tablets away as i didnt want to go down that route but it seemed to just fade out. Now i set my alarm a 6.55am and get up after a nine minite snooze no bother..

I have never been able to get up, although i have had Myasthenia gravis all my life. i feel like i could have 16 hours sleep still would not be enough, although i can still get through the day on 4 hours sleep. Funiest thing though is my alarm wakes my wife, and son and usually my neigbours but i still sleep through it and swear blind my wife turns it off. Once she went on holiday with her parents and i was late for work all week lol. but i'd say i was more of a night person though but i am always feeling tired.

I'm exactly the same too, doesn't matter what time I go to bed because I'm not tired and if I'm not tired I will just lay there awake thinking of random things whilst trying really hard to get to sleep I hate early mornings but it's weird that I never ever get tired at night and I can never just fall asleep and it's so annoying, I can feel tired in the daytime but come the evening I'm wide awake!

i watched something a while ago about peoples time clock's something to do about the time of day you were born, i know years ago i worked 3 months on night shifts 5pm to 7am and it was the best i ever felt, slept mint through the day and was wide awake all night while the other lads were dead on there feet, its a bastard if i go on a stag do now though as i am always the last man standing at 4-5am ready to go on and all me mates are in bed ,

I have exactly the same issue. It's not too bad in the lighter mornings when the daylight helps me wake up naturally but dark morning are a killer. My g/f got me a dimmer lamp for the bedside table that comes on gradually brighter over an hour or so to simulate the summer morning and help you wake up naturally. (It didn't really work for me though...)

No problems getting up in the morning

Go to bed at 11.30 and up at 6am in the week and at the gym for 6.30am in the week

At weekends up and out by 8am, not one laying in bed

I've been like this for a few years now.....can be a right cunt when i'm supposed to be at a customers house at 8 or whatever and i'm late! I wake up but just hit the snooze button for ages even though in my head i know i should be getting up i just can't bring myself to do it. Weekends always seem so much easier to get up though

I sleep very little. Usually about 5.5 hrs a night during the week.

If i have something on or i am motivated, it's no bother, even if i have stayed up till silly 'o clock. I can be up straight away, sometimes waking up before the bells.

When i'm getting run down, little cat naps work wonders for me.

Getting up in winter is real hard though when it's cold. I turn my alarms back so they go off even earlier. Gives me chance to come to terms with the day.

My god I am soo glad I am not the only person like this.

I am always getting a bollocking at work because I cut it a bit late, but I suffer from it too. Particularly in the winter, I just can't wake up in the mornings, can't turn off at night.

I can get anything between 4-10 hours sleep in a night, and doesn't matter I just can't wake up. I set my alarm clock for an hour and a half before I need to wake up, but I still get out of bed at the last possible moment. Its fucking annoying

Then when I go to bed at night, doesn't matter what time I go I just can't go to sleep until 1/2 in the morning sometimes. Brain just doesn't switch off and a hundred and one things might be going through my mind at the time. It really does piss me off

And yet, when I get home after work and go to bed at 6pm I can have a nap no problems. Or on the train on the way home I will just go to sleep while reading a paper. I can have a nap in a empty meeting room at work at lunch no problems.

But why can't I turn off at night when I should be sleeping and why can't I wake up in the mornings no matter how much sleep I get.

Same here, I can't get to work on time ever.. I don't have to be there on time but I'm on piece work so only shooting myself in the foot. I'm not aware of my alarm (despite turning it off) I do take a lot of prescription drugs though which don't help, lots of pain killers waste you nicely
