Had mine done by ultralase 7 years ago had no trouble with it paid Ł2,000 over a year interest free deal they had . Would say only down side would be my eyes now seem not as good at night and are more sensitive when out in the sun but with the improvement with my eye sight would reccomend getting it done .

I had mine done about 5 months ago after wearing contact lenses for the last 15 years, I went for the top treatment I paid Ł1950 and that was with the discount at optical express it does work and the vision is nice I can’t fault it during the day it’s brilliant but not pin sharpe eyesight from a long far distance but at night time or in the dark it’s not all the best at the moment which is the main thing I’m concern about but like they say should get better in time, the night glare is almost gone and so is the dry eyes when you wake up in the morning but not what I expected it to be for that kind of money It’s taken me a while for my eyes to recover to have that 20/20 vision, as they say every ones eyes are different, my brother had his done a few weeks after mine and his recovery time was faster than mine but when I do go for my next check up appointment Iam gonna complain and see what they say and can do about it I hope this info has helped you and hasn’t changed your mine as I will still go for it.

It was for both Mike, had the test on a Sat, was a 60 min test and the surgery on a Wed, was in for surgery for 20mins, came out and had to wear sunnies for a couple of hours, no driving or PC's for 12 hours and had to use saline drops for a couple of weeks or for irritation (sp) but nothing needed now.

Hope that helps Mike

Something I have been seriously thinking about too. What happens during the procedure? Clamp your eyelids open and in it goes? Did it hurt at all? I'm a pussy thats all

yea sorry mate I should of made it more clear

I went into my local optical express in torquay on a Wednesday for a free consoltation to see if my eyes r good enuff to have the procedure done. I paid them and they send me up to there optical express in Bristol

So many people get it done these days I would not even worry. Well apart from matey above who had his eyes fucked up. What happened there then ?

The price did depend on what procedure they did, I think it could have been up to 1k cheaper on the other type,
IMO worth every penny.

I would feel a tight twat saying you can have them done but the cheap option she has a stigma in one eye l know for sure so really l guess the best thing is to pop in, l presume it is all no obligation etc?

Had mine done last May by Optical express, Cost €4,300. I opted for the best procedure i could get. My eye sight was crap. Couldn't see a thing at night before i had it done (I drive fire engines ) Can read 2 lines better than 20/20 vision now!! I would reccommend it. Its not painful having it done just uncomfortable. Think i still have money off vouchers if anyone wants em.

they have gone up mine was about 2000 per eye using the best laser and the most up to date mapping of your eyes you can have it done cheaper but its not as good
