Default what power and engine would a 53 plate audi s4 have?

had a little play with one yesterday on a bit of dual carriageway from 40 to 130 and there was absolutely nothing in it. audi had bigger exhausts by the look of it but not much else. are these the 2.7 bi turbo ones?

Not entirely sure and think engines vary in different models like the cab and estate but i think there a 4.2 Audi B6.

The S4 is also 4x4 and would of thought you would have a edge on him specially as your M3 is played with slightly. Then again, he has a fair old whack of torque

Is yours the 4.2 v8 though?? The older 2.7tt ones are a different ballgame when chipped etc, being turbo's they respond very well to a remap

Every one seems to think that but it just keeps on pulling. Gains on most things over 100 that it struggles with below that speed if that makes sense.

Admittidly it sounds bad but I have to say I've had my A4 at an indicated 145 and the further past 120mph I got the more composed and stable it felt. It really was completely effortless. Not saying I would do it myself.

S4 and M3 should be a fairly even match, both are pretty rapid motors. I bet the BMW has better rear leg room though. A4's are shite for that. All my mates laugh and say I own the smallest big car posible

it felt like we were progressing quite quick.. but the road was almost empty and vision and road conditions were good, and to be totally honest i didnt realise we were going that quick... but at no moment was anyone at danger.... lol... my s4 can do 130+ down the back straight at snetterton, and brake for the esses, so it is vey stable.
