Should work, but pointless having it there... unless, as said above, the engine is in the boot. Still seems an odd place to mount the turbo though.

Erm isn't this very similar to the chap that has a remote turbo on his KA V6? And don't see any reason why this shouldn't work apart from it won't spool anywhere near as well or as hard if it was closer.

Remote turbo's
Been around a while , only downside is spool time and getting lube/cooling to to work sufficiantly .
Im sure chip has commented on one of these set ups before , worth doing a quick search .

That 205 was in PPC (i think) a few years ago, check the US, remote turbos are pretty big and have been for a while
