does it pass as a classic car, also i am 22 will i get insured on classic i heard its 25 over

my compy states that rs's are eligable for classic ins at 10 yrs old and xr's at 15
my bro has classic ins on his mk2 golf an hes only 23

call Paul B at need2insure he does alot of the ford scene and insured my S1 for Ł185 a year fully comp on a classic.

He does all sorts of policies and owns two S1's himslef so is well worth a chat as he knows his stuff and is a sound guy.


He is also a regualr on www.seriesoneturbo.co.uk look in the trade section, it's a must site for S1 owners!

ps that car looks extremely nice - we need more pictures!!

Ive had classic insurance since i was 20 . only downside is the 0 ncb you get so insuring a normal everyday car can be costly , as ive just found out on a audi s4 Ł1300

i should be ok as i was hoping to have the s1 on classic and my everyday car insured normally as it is now so i can continue my ncb if that makes sense??

Try these then mate

Ł225 fc on my 3 door with un limited miles, can drive anywhere in europe and i get breakdown cover too ,thats will all mods declared 350bhp etc etc and its stayed the same for 2 years too . Hope this helps

i do that with my saff and golf pal,paul insures them both,the saff on classic and the golf on normal everyday use still building my no claims,have a word with him,he spot on.
