Default ran out of heating oil!!

woke up this morning to a rather cold house, all radiators cold, timer switched on.......out to the tank in the snow,no oil

i ordered it 2 weeks ago with a delivery of monday the 1st.

its going to be a cold weekend

My Boiler broke down, Fookin fan wheel has seized solid and Local gasman cant get part till monday, Outside my front door is the sea and its fuckin freezing lol

Had to contact a mate with a hardware store last night at 9pm to get those cheap to run halogen heaters

fuck me, funnily enough we are making 101 phone calls to try to get a oil delivery today, ran out late last night and its fecking freezing.

steves24v, ive heard that diesel will work but will it do any damage to filters or anything?, ive got a lot of diesel at the yard b

I know red makes if smoke a bit more, I wouldn't of thought it can do any damage it more or less the same stuff. Have you tried to get some Pre-packet stuff we were able to buy heating oil in 20 ltr containers when we moved in works out a lot more than buying it in bulk but would get you by for a few days and is cheaper than derv.

Ive got a oil boiler in garage ran it on both diesel and cooking oil no problems.

to run red you need an older boiler with a conventional flue (not balanced flue) also injector needs changing and set up if you run this on a boiler not set up to run it it will soot up badly or if its a modern condensing one it will fuck it up big time

dunccoss, it will run paraffin ok wont it? did read online that it is very simuilar to kerosene

update while its at the top, still not working, have tried the prime button is it, on the burner (currently in lock out), but still not firing up have got a plumber coming tomorrow, lasting on leccy heaters and still fucking cold haha
