Always wanted to experiment with car cooking!! having seen cooking on all sorts of strange places like steam engines, steam ships/submarines i thought id have a go.
heres some Carlic bread with cheese i prepared earlier:

note you will need olive oil wiped all on the foil so bottom of bread wont burn and also so cheese when it melts wont stick to the foil!!
All wrapped in foil and placed onto of one hot engine:

Note how its above the exhaust manifold between head and turbo to get good heat!
20 min drive and one rotation of the foil:

wouldnt the juices work thier way out of the foil?? youd have to proper wrap the foil and some kitchen towel in bottom to soak up fat and juices so it didnt just fry too much. I was thinking of doing bacon but with the amount of fat and water that comes out these days it would have been soggy and i prefer crispy bacon.
plus bacon fat all over exhaust manifold
Of course i ate it , thats the point!
couldnt taste any oil and petrol.
only the right hand bit is nice and browned because it was resting on turbofor 10 mins. If you look close you can see the other bits have only light browning and they are the middle bits so half on cam cover half over manifold even after turning.
If i did it again id do it for another 5 mins or so but swap the middle slices with the outside to get even browning. much longer than that and id reckon youd just burn the bread all over.
why not??
you telling me you never have strange "i wonder if....." ideas?? i just thought id try it.
